Ocean fishing

Went out on the pier yesterday and caught a few spots and croaker, pretty much bluegill of the ocean, but at least I caught some. Also caught a small pompano and bluefish, both to small to keep though. I sure miss fishing for bass and catfish, only a few more days and I will be back home fishing for them again. I get home Saturday, and I will be down at the river Sunday and then at the Yough Monday. Hopefully I can get a little closer to my goal of 150 trout. Sorry I haven't put the pics up yet, but they should be up Sunday. I am at a public library typing this and can't put my pictures on the computer.

Good days and nights

Pic from Tuesday night. The camera on my phone sucks, no flash or anything so its hard to make out. But it was a white bass I believe.

Wednsday
Went out to a small lake when my friend took his girlfriend to college for a test. Caught a few bluegill and my friend managed one bass, very slow day. Saw a few other nice bass and some nice carp, I will probably give the lake another try this summer.

Thursday
Went fishing in the morning at a pond with a friend, managed 3 bass and a crappie, he got one bass. We caught them all on shiners and after they ran out we left. Went to his house and played some COD and then I went home.

A few hours later I was back out with a different group of friends fishing down at the river. We were down there for 11 hours and caught 22 fish. It is probably the best we ave ever done at the river, guess our new spot is pretty good. I caught a white bass on the fly rod, other than that all the fish were caught on our spinning gear. We landed 10 channel catfish, 4 white bass, 5 largemouth, 1 smallmouth, 1 sheepshead(or freshwater drum), and 1 small flathead.

I don't have the pictures for the fish yet and my laptop is also broken so when I leave for vacation I won't be able to post, so unless I get them today you won't get to see till next week.

Next Week
Got a trip planned to the yough again, hopefully my friend doesn't sleep through it again....

OUCH

Went fishing down at the river with my friend. Started casting a jig and went over a barge. Went to snap the line and the hook bent, it came free and belted me about 2 inches down and to the right of the eye. Hurt like a mother******, I was bleeding, instant headache, it was ridiculous. Moved down a little and caught a white bass on a rapala and that was it. Going to another lake tomorrow to see if we can catch a few more bass.

WOOO

Went out yesterday to a small little pond with a friend to catch a few bass. We ended up catching 2 and lost 2 others to the weeds on the edge of the pond. # of them hit on wacky rigged stick baits and another on a texas rigged worm without a weight. Neither of the ones we caught were big, mine was about 12 inches and his maybe 15. The other one I had on felt like a nice fish though, bit didn't get it so maybe next time. Also went out three nights ago catfishing, we caught one about 2 pounds, that was it.

Well might be going out tomorrow morning, if not probably next thursday I will be put carp and bass fishing. I will try and get some pics next times.

Again

My friend cancelled again after he slept through his alarm. We were going to go the the yough fishing but nope. I have my gad party this weekend and he leaves for vacation after that so who knows when I will get out fishing again.
